I felt the urge to pen this, so to speak, after reading our regular Park Run contributor’s report for 05/05/12; then being too modest to mention something himself.

Park run is not only well supported by Claremont runners but by our regular contributions to the volunteering ranks.  This week it was Dave K, Tom and Sumanth; in past races over the last two years you can count in list: Bill, Terry, Jeremy, Matthew, Graham, Steve, Chris H and myself [sorry if I have missed anyone out]

Sumanth, our regular report writer, has been an ardent supporter of Park Run; both in the amount of times he has run and the many numerous times he has volunteered.  Over the last few weeks he has been learning the role of Race Director; this week being his first outing as Joint Race Director, ‘joint’ as he still has his ‘L’ plates on.

Congratulations Sumanth, well deserved; it is people like you that allows Newcastle Park Run to happen every week.  To all our other club volunteers as well, a big big thanks.
