Snowdon Race, 19th July 2014

By Ken McCormick

The 2014 Snowdon Race had to be shortened due to advice from the Mountain Rescue service. It was 8 miles instead of 10. The conditions were very warm, lots of loose stone and slightly wet underfoot ; so descending was a bit more tricky than last year. I finished in 1:32;56 and calculate that I would have had a pb on the full course.

Other races I have done since the Blaydon race are:
Windy Gyle (c9m)- 1:43:54 very warm and dry.
Roman Wall show fell race (5m) 49:52 warm and dry (not a good time).
Roman Wall half marathon 2:10:26 (pb) dry and warm.

So, still plodding on and keeping going. Roll on Cross Country season!
