Great Scottish Run Half Marathon, 4th October 2015

By David Reay

A bit like a mini Great North Run. Approx 11,000 runners in the half marathon and there is a 10k on the same day with about 9,000 entrants.

The route winds through the city, crossing the river twice and through two parks. Quite interesting though it starts with a big hill, which unfortunately you can see rising up in front of you as you wait to start.

Well worth a run if, perhaps, you can build it into a visit to Glasgow.

My time : 1:45:02. A whole 3 seconds outside my target!
