Weetslade Handicap 5th June 2017

Well the nice weather couldn’t last, could it? Our recce of the course at Weetslade was a tad damp! At least now we know that the course will stand up to a bit of rainfall. Unfortunately the first 3 out took a shortcut as not all marshals were in place by the time they reached a junction, so although Heidi Swaffield was first home, Mungai Wairia was declared to be the winner. Mungai graciously gave the prize of Ferroro Rocher to Heidi anyway and Heidi, in turn, handed them round.

Thanks very much to the start and finish team of Terry, Lorna and Bill and to Marie, Gill, Julie D, Janet, Sumanth, Serpil and John W for marshaling in torrential rain so that the rest of us could run.
