parkrun, 29th February 2020

To celebrate the rare occurrence of a fifth (leap) Saturday in February, Gateshead parkrun reversed their usual route and Richard Slack chose to run in a hemisphere where the water goes down the sink in the opposite direction.  Richard also ran at 8 am instead of the traditional English/Welsh parkrun time of 9.

In the UK the weather was cool but not too windy, in Australia it was warmer.  The turn out this week was low since many of us were running Alnwick cross country in the afternoon and chose to saved energy for the XC.  Unsurprisingly, Roberto ran both.

Congratulations to Clare McCitterick for a PB at Leazes and Luke Woodend and Lena  Webster-Costella for PBs and Jesmond Dene.

Well done everyone who ran or volunteered this weekend.
