Lads v Lasses 39 Minute Challenge

As Claremont Road Runners is 39 years old, the latest Men v Women challenge was to see how far we could run in 39 minutes.

There were high levels of participation with 51 club members running a total distance of 230.17 miles. This could have taken us as far south as the M25, as far west as the Irish border near Derry or as far north as the Scottish Highlands some way beyond Inverness. We would have just got wet if we had travelled east!

However, as 29 of the 51 were female, the Claremont ladies were once again triumphant, with the final score (in miles) being:

Lasses 125.02 v 105.15 Lads

Congratulations to the Ladies. However, as Men’s team captain, my next challenge is to think of a competition that we can win!
