Good Friday Relays, 2nd to 9th April 2021

Once again, the Good Friday Relays was a virtual event with competitors running 2 miles on a course of their own choosing. There were fewer Claremont teams than in other virtual relays, perhaps because virtual race fatigue has set in. Or maybe it was because we had just had our own 2 mile challenge.

We still had 4 ladies’ teams and 2 men’s teams representing us – and there were some very good performances. I think three performances were particularly noteworthy – a fantastic debut by new member Ben Hardy, a great time from Rob Newton who must have been training hard during lockdown and Nina Jentl who stepped in at the very last minute as Lena was unwell.

Elswick Harriers have promised the results by 22nd April, but you can see how the Claremont fared in the table below.
