A varied, interesting and successful Saturday morning for Claremonters at parkrun. We had Cath Robson and Brian Hegarty running down in that there London, while Nicki O’Brien and Anthony Liddle ventured a bit north into Northumberland. Nicki got a PB at Druridge Bay.
Back on Tyneside, a number of sky blues joined Marie Slack at South Shields for her 100th parkrun and we had a parkrun winner at Rising Sun in Kris Axon. Kris, who says he was running with a hangover, beat former Olympic semi-finalist Ross Murray into 2nd place. There were PBs at Leazes for Laurie Johnson, Izzy Neatrour and Michael Teasdale.
We also had a second winner – Jonathan Gilroy finishing first at Herrington Country Park. Jonathan doesn’t usually figure in these results as he appears under his first claim club of Jarrow and Hebburn.
