Hamsterley Winter Trail Races, 2nd January 2022

Heather Steel and Sarah Kerr traveled down to Hamsterley Forest to race over the trails on a very hilly course.

Heather entered the half-marathon, which was actually a bit more than a half and had nearly 2,000 feet of elevation. So it was no mean achievement to finish in 52nd place overall in a time of 2:09:20.

Sarah ran in the 10K, which itself had 680 feet of climb. Despite a fall, Sarah got up to finish as 1st lady and 2nd overall in a time of 46:23.
