International Women’s Day, 8th March 2022

Once again, Claremont ladies and friends came together to celebrate International Women’s Day by taking part in Active Newcastle and This Girl Can’s run/walk event. After last year’s cancellation due to Covid, it was lovely to meet up again with friends from other running groups including Cath Robson’s Tuesday Social Runners and Marie and Mary’s 261 club. Liz Denyer was also there with friends but as usual was so speedy we didn’t manage to catch her for a photo! After a warm up in the Exhibition Park we set off at 6 pm to run, jog or walk around the 5K course. It was a fantastic evening but freezing cold! Hopefully we will meet up again in 2023!
