It was a beautiful, sunny morning for parkrunners throughout the North East today as it felt more like summer than spring! Alice will certainly miss our lovely climate when she moves down under, but it was fitting that the sun shone on Leazes Park to say “Au revoir”. Numbers at Leazes were swelled by a large contingemt of Elswick Harriers, but there was one Claremonter less than expected as Kris Axon forgot his shorts (don’t ask!).
Elsewhere, Alex Harding enjoyed a pre-wedding stroll around the parkrun course at Chevin Forest, Otley, West Yorkshire.
There were PBs today for Laurie Johnson (again!) and Maddie Day at Leazes and Clare McKitterick at Gateshead – and well done to Gill Milne on her 100th time as a parkrun volunteer.
