Hamsterley Moon Runner Trail Run, 12th November 2022
Mark Anderson has been out in the woods after dark, competing in the Hamsterley Moon Runner Trail Run. Sounds like he had a good time:
“A gloriously clear night in Hamsterley Forest made a fantastic setting for a head torch lit trail run. Plenty of owls to be heard hooting and screeching, if only I could have listened over the top of my breathing on the first climb. running over uneven hilly ground in the dark might not have been the wisest move for someone coming back from an ankle injury, but it was a great experience and I managed not to fall over. A top ten finish and some good running chat with the other athletes at the end rounded off a wonderful evening.”
The official results are yet published, but Mark’s Strava shows him completing the 10K course in 45:38. Well done!
