There were slightly fewer Sky Blues than usual out this week, probably due to the double whammy of a lot of races on the Sunday and the Beer Mile on Friday! Or perhaps it was to do with this warm weather that we are not used to!
On the Town Moor, Charlotte Kerr made her first step up from junior parkrun at the tender age of 9, and judging from her time, she will one day be challenging her mother! It was also the venue for Maria Duenas to take her tourism streak to 10 – that is 10 consecutive parkruns at different venues. Michael Teasdale did some real tourism by running down in beautiful Ross-on-Wye.
The 5 strong Claremont contingent on the Moor was matched at the other two Newcastle runs, Jesmond Dene and Leazes. We had success at both, with Niki Szlovak finishing as 1st lady in the Dene, while Mark Anderson recorded a big PB at Leazes Park
There were also PBs for Francesco Carrer at sunny Whitley Bay and for our representative down-under, Margaux Robin at the (probably) even sunnier South Bank in Brisbane, Australia.
