parkrun, 9th December 2023

The disappearance of the snow and ice meant that it was business as usual for parkrun this weekend, although some of the courses were a bit wet – see the photo of a lake at Herrington Country Park!

It is great to see some of our newer members flourishing. Jason Tipples was 2nd in his first outing at Tyne Green, while there were PBs for Holly Porter at Rising Sun, Aaron Mansell at Whitley Bay, Aoife Monaghan at Blyth Links and Niamh Garratt at Leazes – all of whom joined the club in 2023. Particular praise must go to Holly who finished first female too.

Well done to all who ran or volunteered this Saturday.
