parkrun, 20th January 2024

A few Claremonters dotted around Tyneside this week, with a sprinkling elsewhere across the country.

Tom Tinsley and Gill Milne were down in Cheshire, taking it easy round an icy and muddy Delamere before Tom’s fundraising half-marathon on Sunday. Mr & Mrs Smith ventured back to Keswick, with Ann grabbing a course PB despite the presence of snow, while Aoífe Monaghan joined over 700 runners in York ahead of the Brass Monkey.

Returning to the north east, recent parkrun centenarian Jim Crinnion completed his first event as a member of Claremont at Leazes, finishing just ahead of David Lydall, who impressively dipped under 23 minutes for the first time since Christmas Eve 2022. Good also to see Anneliza Andreadi back parkrunning after a 5 month absence.
