Another nice morning for this Easter parkrun, though, for many of us, this was a day to take it easy as it was sandwiched between the Good Friday Relays and the North Tyneside 10K.
Having said that, the previous days effort in the relay didn’t seem to slow many down. The Smiths, Eddie and Ann, both ran PBs at Bluth Links and Jose Gallego bagged a PB at Leazes Park. It was also a good weekend for Lucy Ward as she followed up her relay debut with a PB at Tyne Green. Heather Steel was, once again, first lady at Gateshead where it was good to see Dave Manners having a run out. There was also a PB for Kimberley Metson at Jesmond Dene (those early morning bootcamps must be working!).
Elizabeth O’Mahony went to Durham for her 250th parkrun and there can’t be many nicer ways to mark this milestone than running along the Wear with friends, family and views to the castle and cathedral against a blue sky.
There was a Claremont debut of sorts too, with baby Sophia Young having a first parkrun at Herrington Country Park, although she was being pushed by her mum Catherine!
