Brighton Marathon, 7th April 2024
Isabel Neatrour decided to run her first marathon at Brighton this weekend. After all the hard training, she ventured down south with some trepidation, worrying as to what Storm Kathleen would have in store for the runners. However, on the day it didn’t have too much of an impact. In her own words:
“The wind was nowhere near as bad as expected. Quite high in exposed parts and sea spray, but mostly from side!”
Izzy certainly didn’t let the conditions stop her from breaking her 3 hours 30 minutes target – in fact, precision running saw Izzy finish as 65th female in a time of 3:29:36.
She summed up the experience as:
“Surprisingly enjoyable. Last 10k was a bit of a chore but great route and support.”
Well done, Izzy!
