Club Races: Cross-Country & Relays

As a club, Claremont Road Runners participate in a number of local inter-club competitions – these split into cross-country competitions and a variety of relay races.  These events are open to all club members – the club pays the entrance fees and organises lifts to the venues.

The 2019-20 North East Harrier League was unfortunately cut short due to the national lockdown, but not before the Claremont Ladies had ensured promotion as champions of Division Three. Well done!

Unfortunately, the 2020/21 Harrier League did not happen at all, but there are provisional dates set for the 2021/22 season. Please put these in your diary (in pencil for now):

25th September, 2021
10th October, 2021
30th October, 2021
27th November, 2021
9th January, 2022
12th February, 2022
5th March, 2022

For all details of Harrier League events, see the NEHL website.

Upcoming Club Relay Races

All recent club relay events have been virtual affairs. We will keep you posted of any that are planned, real or virtual, as soon as we know of them!

Next up is likely to be the Good Friday Relays organised by Elswick Harriers. So you could be planning a 2.2 mile route to run over the Easter weekend.

Our own Weetslade Relay is scheduled for the 23rd June 2021, so there is a possibility that a real race of some sort could happen. Otherwise it will be a virtual affair.
