Newcastle parkrun 12/1/13
On a cold and very wet morning, I was expecting the New Year’s resolutions to be wearing off and turnout to be way down from last week’s terrific record. Boy was I wrong! 449 brave souls came out to absolutely shatter the previous mark of 403.
Well done to everyone that turned up for this record breaking effort. There were PBs for Colin Reid and Tom Oliphant.
Next week’s event is Toonrun’s third anniversary. There will be an awards presentation at the Royal Grammar School opposite Brandling Park, a speech by Tony “The Fridge” and more importantly, cake! So come along and celebrate what’s been a fantastic year.
