Community Fun Running

Weds 21st Aug and Weds 18th Sept. Starting from 6.15pm, finish about 8pm.

Venue: Newcastle Exhibition Park /Town Moor
Nearest Metro: Jesmond or Haymarket. Parking at Claremont Road car park

Claremont Road Runners are holding a family running day as part of the region’s Community Games. The day will be for all ages for families as well as individuals. It is a fun introduction to running short and longer distances, including a novel relay event and will include a throwing event (howler) and standing long jump. There will be a closing ceremony with prize-giving with various awards so that most participants will get recognition, eg youngest, oldest, furthest distance travelled to take part as well as performance related prizes. There will also be drawing activities and maybe some live music.
