This weekend saw Alice Vialard return for a flying visit to Newcastle so, of course, she took in Leazes parkrun. Sorry to miss you, Alice, but I had decided to have a morning off and rest my legs before the Pier to Pier – as did a few others.
Nikoletta Szlovak followed up her impressive debut in the relays by being the fastest lady at Riverside in Chester-le-Street. Fred Besse was the only sky blue to record a PB, at Leazes Park (Anthony Liddle did too, though he is now down as his first claim club of Morpeth Harriers).
