It was volunteer takeover day at Leazes Park, with Claremont providing (nearly) all the marshals and officials for this week’s parkrun. It was also a good day for those who chose to run at Leazes, with PBs for Naomi Rose and Fred Besse.
Elsewhere in the North East there were a number of cancellations – the Town Moor due to The Hoppings but also Whitley Bay (a food festival), Blyth Links (?) and Blackhill (a fallen tree). Although he might be listed as Morpeth Harriers, Anthony Liddle is still a Claremonter and he ran a PB to win Druridge Bay parkrun in 18:43 – well done!
Laurie Johnson and Alex Harding both managed parkruns while away from home – Laurie at Chippenham in Wlitshire and Alex at Blickling in Norfolk.
