Though I think a few were resting ahead of the cross-country, Claremont Road Runners still managed to spread ourselves around the North East parkruns and beyond! Alan Dunning was in York and David Devennie in Manchester, and we had representatives at 9 parkruns nearer home.
There was something in the air at Jesmond Dene, with 3 out of 4 Claremonters – Izzy Neatrour, Arthur Liu and Margaux Robin – all recording PBs. Though Margaux does say to take her time with a pinch of salt as she went wrong on the course and took a shortcut. Jesmond Dene is a tricky route to follow and Margaux is not the first to go wrong, and I am sure that she won’t be the last.
It is good to see Ben Hardy getting back to form and fitness with a PB at Town Moor.
Niki Szlovak went on tour again, to Darlington South Park, and, as is now customary she finished as first lady!
