On Friday night, many across the country were dazzled by the aurora borealis, but plenty of our own Northern lights were shining at various parkruns the following morning.
The recent usual suspects were at it again. Mark Anderson and Holly Porter both smashed their parkrun PB’s at Town Moor and Denton Dene respectively, Holly also finishing as first lady behind Roberto Marzo in 2nd, with his own course PB. Dave Roberts shaved a few more seconds off his parkrun PB at Leazes, while Chris Jones improved his best Newbiggin time over on the coast. Further afield in the opposite direction, Cate Walker comfortably beat her course PB by over 2 minutes, at an idyllically sunny (but sweaty) Keswick.
Our only Claremonter abroad this week, Izzy Neatrour was in Leipzig, Germany, finishing as first lady at Küchenholz.
