Berlin Marathon, 29th September 2024

Shilpa Iyanna has become the latest Claremont Road Runner to tackle the Berlin marathon. Although she clearly enjoyed the experience, saying “Thank you, Berlin. Fab day and awesome weather.”, Shilpa says that she has now retired from marathon running, by adding: “This was my third (AND LAST!!!) Marathon. I’ve done Abu Dhabi (it was like running in hell!!! ???), Paris and now Berlin.”

She managed to maintain a steady pace throughout, completing the half-marathon in 2:29:11, slowing ever so slightly to finish in a time of 5:00:04.

You should be very proud of your run and time, Shilpa, but those 4 seconds would kill me!
