With a number of us resting or volunteering ahead of the afternoon’s cross-country, it was a smaller turnout of sky blues getting their weekly parkrun than usual – at least they had far better weather than last week!
It was a quiet week all around – with neither PBs nor podium finishes to worry the reporter. There was a fair bit of tourism, including an outing in Canada for the Smiths. “Lovely forest trail run” was how Ann described the course at Central Park, Burnaby in Vanvouver. Eddie added “Lovely way to start our final day in Canada. Thankfully there were no bears or cougars on the course!” (see photos for explanation!).
Back in this country, Rachel Hurdman collected an “O” for Oriam in Edinburgh and David Devennie was at Fell Foot on the shores of Lake Windermere. Lucy Ward was running in the West Midlands, while Ailsa Ralph was slightly further from home in Worcestershire.
