DK Mile, 1st May 2026

The DK Mile, a series of one mile races along the Blyth seafront, is becoming increasingly popular amongst club members, with 7 sky blues running this time. It was 12 year old Charlotte Kerr who showed everybody the way, being faster than any of the adults on the night! Though the results do show Laurie Johnson recording an amazing 5:01 – so fast that he was invisible to all of us!

It being a lovely evening, Gill and I cycled along the coast to get our daily exercise and give them our support. As Gill says, it was well worth missing The Archers for!
