Great North 10K, 5th July 2026
As well as the 14 runners, Claremont provided a 15 strong volunteer crew (of members and friends) to help at the start and finish, with a few more members out on the course to provide encouragement. This event has grown massively over the last couple of years to the extent that there were 13,000 entries this time.
It is not the easiest course, with the downhill elements coming in the first half to leave the finish as largely uphill. This didn’t prevent some great times from the sky blue contingent, an impressive 20th place for Harry Mawdsley and a fantastic run by Heather Steel seeing her finish as 18th female. Well done, all!
