Another damp, blustery Saturday in the North-East. Druridge Bay cancelled purely down to windchill factor, while Riverside had to adjust their course, due to the key eponymous feature being flooded!
Some of the best action was to be found north of the border. The Smith’s visited Elder Park in Glasgow, where recent PB-demolisher Eddie got to ring that bell again, recording his fastest ever parkrun! A short hop across the city, Niamh Garratt took in the picturesque Queen’s Park, and even deeper into Scotland, Izzy Neatrour finished as first lady at Camperdown in Dundee, doing “cross country laps in the rain instead of the expected forest path route.”
Another podium place was won by Heather Steel, first lady at Saltwell Park, with Mariana Mouzinho and Lena Lou earning course PB’s at Fulwell Quarry and Whitley Bay respectively. Lena is another of our unstoppable juggernauts, having casually knocked out 10k and half-marathon PB’s in the space of 24 hours last weekend!
