7th and penultimate event in this team competition, organised by North Shields Poly. Claremont has 3 teams of 8 runners. Course is along the front at Whitley Bay.
Re-arranged from 4th January. Start on beach near Spanish City. Registration and finish at Churchill Playing Fields.
On this route we’re ganning alang the Scotswood before a scenic return along the banks of the Tyne. The full route is approximately 6.7M (10.8K) and the shorter version is approx. 5.1M (8.2K).

Magnificent venue with races starting and finishing with the backdrop of the Castle and River Aln and taking in the best parts of Hulne Park, the private estate of the Duke of Northumberland. The Half ventures further into the Park.
Up Claremont Road and across the paths to Cowgate. Then a bit of a climb to Kenton Bar, before a downhill stretch through Kenton and around the edge of the Town Moor. The full route is approximately 6.8M (11K) and the shorter version is approx. 3.6M (5.8K).
Teams of 3, each running 2 laps of approximately 2.2 miles at Newburn Riverside Park. Course is on road and trail (though road shoes are fine). All welcome, club pays fees and lifts will be arranged.
One of the most scenic running events in the UK, the route takes in a working Fish Quay, the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and a long stretch of coastline before finishing at St. Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.
Sports Centre closed. Members will be arranging social runs, so check WhatsApp groups and Spond
