Teams of 3, each running 2 laps of approximately 2.2 miles at Newburn Riverside Park. Course is on road and trail (though road shoes are fine). All welcome, club pays fees and lifts will be arranged.
One of the most scenic running events in the UK, the route takes in a working Fish Quay, the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and a long stretch of coastline before finishing at St. Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.

The final GP of the season. A longer course than usual, starting and finishing near the lighthouse, as it includes the Fairburn Cup (a competition for Poly members). Presentation and buffet afterwards
Exhibition Park lake session
The race is run from Blyth Quayside to Seaton Sluice and back, along public footpaths and cycle ways, with a short section on closed roads. The course is officially certified; it’s flat and provides an excellent chance of fast times. Athletes compete in individual age categories. For example a Male over 50 will not qualify …
Lovely route through Jesmond Dene
The run starts on the beach at South Shields Pier and follows a superb scenic route along the cliff paths past Marsden Rock and Souter Lighthouse. It rejoins the beach at Whitburn and finishes at Roker Pier in Sunderland.
A new route over the Millennium Bridge and along the Tyne to visit the historic Dunston Staiths. There are summer (&m,11.2K) and winter (7.16,11.5K) variations. The shorter version is approx 4.15M (6.7K). This will be our first time for the summer route.
