Newcastle parkrun 28/07/12

It was another beautiful summer’s day, just in time for the Olympics, and after four weeks of disruptions, we finally returned to the original route. Some people prefer the Hoppings route but I think the gravel paths add a bit of character to the course even if it isn’t very PB friendly. Craig Smith, of Heaton Harriers, became the sixth member of the toonrun 100 club and once again, the mystery baker left a beautifully decorated cake for the occasion. Not a very big turnout from the club considering the great conditions. I’m guessing most people were up late for the Olympics opening ceremony!
