After the influx of visitors last week due to the Great North Run, it was business as usual at the local parkruns this morning – though a number of runners were sporting GNR t-shirts!
There was the customary good turnout of Sky Blues at Leazes, volunteering and running. Sarah Kerr followed her very impressive performance in the GNR by finishing as 1st lady and 2nd overall, and there was a PB for the improving Martin Jobling. Thanks to David Lydall for spotting that 4 Claremonters topped their age categories – Sarah, David himself, Mungai Wairia and Julie Cross – not sure if this is a record!
Elsewhere, there was a PB for Liz Denyer on the Town Moor and Mark Anderson at Jesmond Dene.
