There was a bit of parkrun tourism this week, with Kris, Maddie and Richard running in Cumbria, while Mark went down to Yorkshire. Kris and Maddie made their debuts at Keswick parkrun, and Kris finished in 2nd place for the 2nd consecutive week. Mark also finished 2nd at Conyngham Hall parkrun in Knaresborough. From his comments on Strava, he could well have won had he been wearing trail shoes. You will know the course for next time, Mark!
Back in the North East, Clare and Lena ran in a parkrun that I didn’t know existed at Chopwell Woods. I am guessing that this is a replacement for Gibside, and probably equally as tough and hilly.
Our cross-country running junior, Grace Scott, clocked up another PB at Tyne Green. I think all of the Scott family are running there – any more recruits, Duncan?
Well done to all who ran and volunteered.
