This was the last parkrun in Newcastle for Fred and Lucas before they head off to start a new life in Australia, and they chose to run at Leazes Park where they have been regulars. There was a good contingent of Claremont Road Runners there to help them on their way – 15 runners and a further 5 volunteering. Unfortunately, neither managed to sign-off with a PB,
Indeed PBs were thin on the ground with only the Town Moor yielding sky blue success despite a Claremont presence at 8 other venues. So well done to Izzy and Joyce for their excellent runs around the Moor.
Clare McKitterick and Catherine Young were this week’s tourists. Clare ran at Peel Park in Salford, while Catherine was in the Lake District at Rothay Park in Ambleside – a course she describes as a “mud bath”.
