It was a very special day as the legend that is wor Mungai ran his 400th parkrun and his 300th on the Town Moor. A lot of his Claremont family were there to help him celebrate, as were many other of his parkrun friends. Even Roberto Marzo, still nursing his injured knee post The Wall, managed to hobble around!
After the run, tables had been reserved at the Urban Green cafe in the park and there was a massive cake provided by Mungai’s daughter Olivia. There were, of course, lots of selfies – Mungai even stopped for a photo session mid-run!
Anneliza Andreadi also had reason to celebrate with a Town Moor PB – our only PB of the day.
