parkrun, 5th August 2023

The lovely summer weather continues – so it was wet, windy and unseasonably chilly for August! However the weather didn’t deter Brian Hegarty from recording his 300th parkrun at Leazes Park, where he was joined by the usual gathering of Claremonters.

It wasn’t a day for fast times, but nothing stops Sarah Kerr these days! She finished as first lady at Leazes, and clocked up a course PB in the process. You had to travel to the other side of the world to get another Sky Blue PB – Margaux Robin ran her fastest ever 5K at New Farm in Brisbane. Well done!

Clare McKitterick and Tara Hipwood took advantage of the summer holidays to try new parkruns at Millom in the Furness peninsula, and Canterbury in Kent respectively.
