T100 Triathlon, London, 27th July 2024

The water quality in the River Seine may be causing problems for our Olympic triathletes, but there were no such issues for Sonam Wangdi in London this weekend as he took part in an Olympic distance triathlon.  This consisted of a 1.5K swim in Victoria Dock, before a 40K cycle on closed roads, taking in such landmarks as the Tower of London, the London Eye and Big Ben.

Sonam described the bike section as a “fun ride in central London without cars”, but felt that he probably pushed too hard on the bike and had to run the 10K on tired legs – though they can’t have been that tired as he ran it in 42:06.
