Humboldt Redwoods Half-Marathon, 13th October 2024

Once a Claremont Road Runner, always a Claremont Road Runner! Former member Sumanth Nayak now lives in exile in sunny California, but when it comes to running, he is still a Sky Blue at heart. He had this to say about his latest race:

“Humboldt Redwoods half marathon in my Claremont shirt. The best race I’ve done – 13 miles along the Avenue of the Giants, a two-lane highway surrounded by towering coast redwoods.”

Sounds amazing, but the best race ever, Sumanth? Come on, you have done the Northumberland Coastal Run!

Sumanth finished in 30th place in a time of 1:40:01, and came 2nd in his age group. Well done!
