parkrun, 19th October 2024

A storm may have been on the way, but conditions remained favourable in the north east for running. We had a trio of women taking the top podium spot: Aoífe Monaghan at Omagh in Northern Ireland, Catherine Young at Fulwell Quarry, and Izzy Neatrour in Gateshead, with Roberto Marzo finally topping his collection of 2nd and 3rd places at Denton Dene, finishing 1st overall. Catherine and Izzy equalled and beat their course PB’s respectively, joined by Luke O’Neill, also at Gateshead, and Nicki O’Brien at Rising Sun.

Other tourists this week included Alex Harding, back at his second favourite Sheffield-based parkrun of Concord, Sophie Richardson on the outskirts of Edinburgh at Oriam, and just about the furthest away, Aaron Mansell cruising on Hampstead Heath.
