The last parkrun before Christmas was a windy affair everywhere, not just at Windy Nook where it was good to see a return to parkrun for Laurie Johnson (other than as tail walker and volunteer).
Tourism mainly consisted of visiting family for Christmas, so we were spread around the British Isles. The two Aoifes had success the other side of the Irish Sea, both running PBs and finishing in the top 3 females – Aoife Campbell being 1st at Tramore and Aoife Monaghan 3rd at Enniskilen. Anton Mirafsari also ran a PB at Riverside, and the on form Niamh Garratt followed up her fastest ever 10K last week, with a course PB at Jesmond Dene.
