Kielder Dark Skies, 9th March 2025

This race was one of a series of night time races at Kielder, from 10K to a full marathon, organised by Trail Outlaws. Although classed as a 10K, as with many trail runs, it was perhaps a tad over distance.

Kielder is a tough venue at any time of day, and running there at night presents an extra challenge, so well done to the two Claremonters who completed it. Chris Jones ran well to finish in an excellent 8th place, while Becky Webster took a more leisurely approach, saying “Such an amazing run. So nice to go out with the one aim – enjoyment rather than speed as it was very hilly and very dark. Loved every minute of it!”
