London Marathon, 27th April 2025

While many of us were thankful for the spring heatwave, it certainly wasn’t appreciated by the 50,000+ runners waiting to start this year’s London Marathon! Amongst them were 3 of our own – Holly Porter and Jenny Roberts tackling London for the first time and the more experienced, 2nd claim Claremonter, Jack Shawcross.

Here is what they thought:

Jenny: “Amazing atmosphere, swelteringly hot but happy.”

Holly: “The London Marathon 2025 was the sunniest victory lap a runner could ask for. Tears mixed with sweat, and the crowds roared every step of the way. The atmosphere was a joyful blur of cheers, music, and jelly babies—made even better by the sight of a giant banana overtaking a rhino at mile 20.

It was a day of sunshine, spirit, and soaring emotions—unforgettable in every way, and one that’ll be talked about long after the blisters fade, especially with the bragging rights of being a Guinness World Record holder in the marathon with the most finishers ever.”
