Run Cumbria Solway Half-marathon, 1st June 2025
Nina Jensen never seems to stop racing these days! This time, she has travelled across the country to run in the Solway Half-Marathon. Here is her report:
“Lovely route with views of the Solway Coast( including some cows out at sea) and some pretty villages where people came out to cheer.
The only downside was the weather which was inclement and typical for a British summer, with high winds and horizontal hail stones for part, whilst bright sunshine a moment later.
There was a marathon option at the same time but I’d opted that as my Ashington friends were doing the half I’d do the same rather than keep them waiting.
Oh and checking the results I picked up an age category prize too so all in all not a bad day out!”
Nina was, indeed, 1st in her age category, and 31st overall in a time of 1:47:54.
