parkrun, 25th October 2025

Winter is definitely coming… temperatures dropped into single digits today, so spare a thought for the volunteers stood shivering (yes, I was one), parkrun doesn’t happen without them!

Aoífe Monaghan was this weekend’s double achiever, returning to Northern Ireland to finish as 2nd lady, with a course PB at Enniskillen.

There were also course PB’s for Eddie Smith at Denton Dene, Tara Hipwood at Leazes and Lena Lou at Whitley Bay.

Others venturing outside the north east today were Luke Woodend, running for the 27th time at his “ancestral home” of Keswick, and Becky Webster at Temple Newsam near Leeds.
