Run Northumberland Hexham 10k, 25th September 2022

Heather Steel put in an impressive performance in the Hexham 10k on Sunday morning.

Starting on the outskirts of Hexham, a fast, flat course heads east along the Hadrian’s Cycleway, before doubling back around the halfway point just before Corbridge.

Alongside bucolic views of the Northumberland countryside, the route offers a good opportunity for fast times, one which Heather seized, clocking a swift 43:18.

A cracking 33rd place out of a nearly 200-strong field was rounded off with the accolade of finishing as 3rd lady, a fantastic achievement Heather!
