DK Mile, 5th June 2026

The 3^rd installment of this year’s DK Mile series saw both favourable conditions (mild and dry, fairly minor winds) and the biggest Claremont turnout so far, with excellent performances raining down upon the Blyth Promenade!

Harry Mawdsley, Aoífe Monaghan and Tara Hipwood all beat their previous PB’s. Lena Lou earned an impressive one by default in her first timed mile, finishing a clear 15 seconds ahead of the rest of her wave, while Sarah Kerr, Rose Hawkswood and Chris Jones all improved on their season’s bests. Harry was 6^th fastest on the night, out of 75 runners.

Charlotte Kerr was unfortunate not to carry on her amazing recent form, limping across the line with a sore ankle (though still in a swift time!). The soothing balm of ice cream was quickly applied, fingers crossed it’s nothing too serious!
