NEHL Trophy Presentation, 30th September 2021

It has been a long wait, but last night the prize giving ceremony for the 2019/20 North Eastern Harrier League took place at Start Fitness in Newcastle city centre. Sarah Kerr and Catherine Young represented the club at the event and collected the 3rd Division championship trophy on behalf of our successful ladies team.

Sarah and Catherine are, of course, the speed merchants of the team and power through the field after giving everybody else a few minutes start from the fast pack. When you add in the fact that Maria Duenas, Maddie Day and Sarah Bowen also had to make up time from the medium pack at some of the races, it becomes an even greater achievement by the Claremont women.

The season was initially plagued by cancelled events due to flooding and then had to finish early due to Covid, so only 4 of the planned 6 events took place. Sarah K and Maria were ever presents, as was Julie Cross, but everybody who ran contributed to the team’s success. So congratulations to:
