Stately Trails: Forcett Park 10k, 1st August 2024

Holly Porter travelled down to Forcett Park on the North Yorkshire side of Teesdale to take part in this 10K trail race in the historic surroundings of Forcett Park. The course promised stunning views and a 2 lap route steeped in history: “Part of the Estate boundary follows ancient Iron Age fortifications from neighbouring Stanwick Camp. On this two lap course you will also pass a wall used for musket training in the civil war and an intriguing Georgian grotto!”.

I am not sure much of this Holly could take in as she sped around, perhaps inspired by the promise of “finishers sausage roll and cake”, to finish as 3rd female in a time of 53:58.
