With Claremont Road Runners still spread around the country, there was a sky blue presence at no fewer than 25 different venues and a lot of success to celebrate.
There were PBs for Aoife Campbell, Dave Roberts, Lily Crouzier and Mark Anderson. Despite Mark clocking an exceptional 17:24 at Huddersfield, there were 6 who ran even faster to deny him a podium place – though there was no shortage of top 3 finishes for our other runners. Niki Szlovak was 3rd female at Riverside, with Holly Porter and Catherine Young both coming 2nd at Market Bosworth and Fulwell Quarry respectively.
However, pride of place goes to Anton Mirafsari, who travelled all the way to Silloth on the Solway Firth to mark his 300th parkrun with a first place finish – an excellent way to end 2024.
